Thatcham Q class

Thatcham Q class covers a wide range of products including GPS tracking systems that have been approved by Thatcham.

The Thatcham Quality Accreditation scheme has been designed to provide a more robust and consumer identifiable product to the automotive industry. Established during the first quarter of 2006, this scheme will ultimately replace the current Thatcham Q Class listing as of January 2007. All participants with Q listed products have been informed regarding the impending change and should now be on the road towards transferring to this initiative.

Thatcham Quality Accreditation is a more robust program of endorsement concentrating on building quality into the manufacture of a product as well as the design. The product will be rigorously tested to a predefined criteria established by Thatcham’s Vehicle Security and Quality functions. This testing, supported by Quality system and process assessments of the manufacturing facility and service provision, will ensure that the product is both designed and manufactured to exacting standards, providing the service the product has been produced to deliver.
