Thatcham category 1 alarms combines an alarm and immobiliser in one unit and is fully approved by insurance companies. We supply and install Thatcham cat1 alarm and immobiliser from Hornet, Cobra, Gemini, Toad and Viper. Thatcham category 2 immobiliser are approved by UK insurance companies. Nearly all new UK specification vehicles have CAT2 fitted as standard. If you have a non UK spec vechicle that has been imported privatly or via a dealer then it's going to need an aftermarket CAT2 imobiliser, older vehicle should also be upgraded.
